Endowed Chair in Global Islam:

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammad Al-Qassimi, a member of the Supreme Council of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Sharjah, has donated $1M to McMaster University for an endowed chair in Global Islam. The chair will begin in the fall of 2009 and will be a joint appointment with the Institute on Globalization and the Human Condition and another department in the Humanities of Social Sciences.
